Brazil's special force Police-BOPE
BOPE-Batalhão de Operações Policies Especiais (Portuguese: [bataˈʎɐ̃w dʒi opeɾaˈsõjs poliˈsjajs ispeˈsjajs]; literally "Special Police Operations Battalion") or BOPE is a special police unit of the Military Police in Brazil. Due to the nature of crime in favelas, BOPE units have extensive experience in urban warfareas well as progression in confined and restricted environments. It also utilizes equipment deemed more powerful than traditional civilian law enforcement.
Every year Professor Kenny travels to Brazil to visit friends and train with some of the different teams there. He also have been helping with the DT (Defensive Tactics) with the BOPE team while on his travel and here is what the former Lieutnant Colonel Januário Antonio Edwirges Batista,Formar BOPE Commandant had to say:
